We’ve been there.
we’re artists ourselves. we’ve been in the meetings, we’ve been signed to major record labels. we’ve been SHELVED by them. we’ve been ignored. we’ve been told to make tiktoks. we’ve had our royalties stolen. we’ve been exploited.
guess what? it can be done without going through all of that
Something we realised after dealing with labels ourselves as well as seeing the artist-label dynamic take place with friends of ours is that majority of problems artists encounter with their labels could absolutely be avoided. Begging the all too common question asked by artists signed to a label: why are they doing this to me?
Whatever the answer, we have found a way to minimise all of the annoying problems and hurdles labels provide that have unfortunately become the industry standard.
The way we have done this is firstly, through being ethical.
Unlike most labels (especially majors) as an ethical label our primary focus isn’t ripping off the artist by taking hostage a large portion of their percentages. Our primary mission is building a cohesive group of people that can grow together whilst providing a basic record label distribution service. A Label with a Family Feel.
We want to grow you and us simultaneously, without profiting through ownership. However, as well as a passion, this is a business. And whilst we need to earn income to stay alive, we believe labels can do so without exploitation. Something we intend to move to the forefront of record label industry standards.
